Video game production is a process that takes a lot of time and a lot of people, with so many roles affecting the outcome of a project it is important to keep open and good lines of communication; something I pride myself on. As a dedicated and self motivated worker I take it as a personal challenge to help any project that I’m on complete the production process on time and on budget, with the highest goal of making sure that will enjoy the highest quality game possible.
Objective
I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Game Design from Full Sail University and graduated with Salutatorian honors. I aim to design experiences that engage players, encourage teamwork and help an audience of people learn problem solving skills, hand-eye coordination and faster reaction times. I also look to grow as an individual and further understand the craft of level and game design. I have been in game testing for 8+ years and I am looking to make the jump into design.
Abilities
My strongest skills are C++, scripting and planning, along with ambition and self-motivation. I have a passion for learning and a desire to understand the world around me. I am constantly trying to grow my understanding of game design, how design choices are influenced by player interaction and how players learn and understand games.
Work Experience
While working at Bungie I participated in a week long creative event where I planned out an activity for Destiny with level design documents, managed a team, and we created the game mode with the Bungie tools and game engine. At the end of the week the project was shown to the studio and it got great reviews and many interested parties. Currently I am continuing to meet with Design Leads from the studio in an attempt to get the activity green lit for the Destiny franchise.
During game design school and while in test I have learned many things about game development. I love logistics and the chance to find solutions to problems. Currently I am an area test lead at Bungie where we work in an agile environment. As an area test lead, I’ve learned to keep track of milestones and schedule work with external teams to ensure the highest possible quality for my area.
